Adult Computer Lab After-School Project
April 2006

Students provided up to 25 adults with help in using computers in our Room 13 computer lab. 
In addition, other students provided Saturday workshops on soccer and basketball. 

 

Maywood School Website Upgrade Project 2006-2007

Students have explored a number of ways to upgrade the Maywood Middle School Website

 

GEAR UP Grant Project

We provided free web space and a website for this new project serving students at the Corning High School and the Maywood Middle School.  The Gear Up project began at Maywood in April of 2006.

 

Reading First Grant Project

We provided the use of our large plotter printer to teachers at other schools in our District.  We got funding from the Reading First Grant project for this cooperative effort.

 

Olive View Computer Instruction Project

Maywood 8th grade students will be teaching students in the 5th grade at Olive View how to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint or Publisher.  The project will begin in January of 2007. 

 

GATE Program in Video Production

Our EETT3-EAST lab was used for classes on the use of Casablanca video editing software.  The classes were led by a former Maywood teacher, Jack Hulley, who is an expert in video production.  This afterschool class was for Gifted and Talented Education.
